@Magazine
makes its return
A
Public Service Announcement from Where it’s@magazine
to all young-minded people of the planet Earth
Before spending all thehard-earned money
your parents gave you at the movie theatres, check out
the two most reliable movie critics you’ll ever
come across.
That’s right! We are pleased to announce the newest
additions to our review section – the “IN
THEATRES NOW” section and the “MOVIE RENTALS”
section. We figured when it comes to movie ticket and
rental sales, college-aged people are a large piece
of the demographic pie.
Here at www.atmag.com we hired the best contract negotiators
in the business and agreed to pay whatever it took to
get these two college–aged, world renowned, non-traditional
critics to write movie critiques specifically targeted
for college-aged people like yourselves. The new writers
are Nic Camfield and David Lange. Whereit’s@magazine
is now the home of the best and most reliable critiques
of movies by college-aged people for college-aged people.
OK. We’re not actually paying them and we’ve
never hired contract negotiators for anything. The truth
is; we got them to do these movie reviews because we
laid our hands on some pictures of each of them that
gave us…how shall we say… certain leverage
and bargaining power.
Nevertheless, they are very talented and each brings
valuable perspectives. You can say goodbye to the all-too-common,
stuffy-shirt style evaluations of today’s movie
critics and hello to movie reviews by people like yourself.
Nic Camfield is a theatre graduate who easily avoids
the same fancy-schmancy writing style that usually enables
readers to quickly identify critics as theatre majors.
This guy restrains his expertise enough so that we can
all easily understand his interpretation of a movie.
David Lange represents the normal, everyday guy that
gives the low-down on how satisfied he feels after spending
his money on a movie. You won’t find some obscure
reference phrase like “Italian-bicycle style movie”
in his columns like you would in most of the more famous
movie critic’s critiques. With Dave it’s
“Just the facts maam. Just the facts.”
Our critics aren’t trying to make a name for themselves,
they’re not getting school credit for this, they’re
just trying to give you an honest heads up from people
you can relate to.
So, avoid paying for a bad movie experience just to
later find out our two resident pros gave a free forewarning
that you’ll surely agree with right here at Whereit’s@magazine.

Hello faithful @Maggers. As is customary at the end of any semester,
there has been a changing of the guards and I will be acting
as the captain who will steer this patched and battered ship.
Although I can't guarantee quality and I certainly don't claim
to be the best man for the job, I am here none the less.
One of the many things you can expect, aside from this beautiful
new design, is the best in wierd online sites, features and
the greatest movie and music reviews this side of (insert music
rag of your choice).
We may stumble and we may eventually fall, but as John Lennon
once said, "I don't belive in Beatles, I just believe in
me."
Thank you and drive through. |
